Lower Training Day Variation

Try this simple training variation out for a day. Talk about Jello Legs!

1. Perform 10 Deadlifts at 115% of your body weight
2. Immediately complete 25 low box jumps (concentrate on deceleration and proper form since these won’t be terribly explosive by the end!)
3. Rest 30 seconds and repeat.
4. Perform 3-5 sets.

If you still have any energy, you can then add in your supplemental lifts, but this is usually it for us when it hits our program (only some foam rolling and stretching at the end). The deadlifts are tough but the box jumps will allow for some leg “rest” while taxing the cardio and keeping stress on the legs. This is also a good day to start out with flexibility and mobility drills. Let me know how it goes!
