Question: You mention finishing complexes (and have some awesome ones in Bull Strength and Bull Strength Conditioning, I have them both). Do you have any more that you want to share please? – James
Answer: Hell yes.
I’ll let you in on something. I’ve been working on a thick rope training video for an extremely limited sale (just on a few posts, not even its own website like the other products). Something containing never seen information. It answers everyone’s questions on where to get rope, exercises, programs, etc.

But that is at least 2 weeks away…
For now, to answer your question, here is one of the craziest and most effective finishing exercises. It happens to come from the upcoming thick rope video.
I hope you are sitting down when you read this, because this exercise is just crazy….
Sitting? Ok good.
Thick rope rows from the plank position. BAM!
Blew your mind, right? It blew mine…and my grip, core, shoulders, triceps, upper back, and biceps.

We have been using it for a few weeks and the exercise is awesome (along with about a dozen variations) .
COMMERCIAL GYM VARIATION: If you are in a commercial facility, perform this exercise using a cable cross over from the low handles. While it is not the same movement (more eccentric elements), it will still be awesome
Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the new content coming out in the next few weeks! Make sure you do the following to not miss out:
- Subscribe to Joe’s Youtube – I’ll get some of the videos out soon!

Joe,
This is an awesome exercise and I do it with my wrestlers just a little differently and give it a try and you will love it. Put two guys into the plank position and have them grab a rope with one hand and have them do a tug-a-war in that position. We usually do best of 5 and set up competitions. I get a lot out of them and it’s a lot of fun. You can also do it in a push-up position. Enjoy!!

This is great stuff! Just like Jerry above I train wrestlers. We have done another version. Instead we use stretch bands and pull it all the way down until the arm is locked out at the waist. I found out by accident mini bands and my version gets kids who can not do a single pull up strong fast! The shoulder moves through a huge range of motion!
Thanks Jerry and Mike! The movement is killer. Thanks for adding your variations!
Joe
Did you really pull a truck??
Nope, not a truck, a sled with weights on it. Maybe a truck like that this summer!
Joe
That looks like fun. I’m gonna have to give that one a try.

Fun and a real butt kicker. I hope you enjoy Logan, thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Joe
looks like a beast!! Now all I have to do is find some thick rope! But until then I will have to use the bands as suggested earlier.
thanks
Enjoy CJ! Should be killer with bands as well.
