About a month ago I write a homemade grip equipment article for my friends over at the Diesel Crew – check out the article here —> Homemade Grip Devices.
In that article I included a picture of one of my athletes using a hockey puck hub training device (something I actually learned about from the guys at the Diesel Crew). Here’s the picture and device in use:

The athlete is using his finger, hand, and forearm strength to latch onto the puck and hold on the weight. Dan Allison came across this device, turned it into a farmers walk and sent me the pictures. Check out his hard work!

Dan Allison – Hockey Puck Farmers’ Walk

These guys get after their physical training! The hockey puck farmers walk will give your arms in a new kind of burn! Variation one, start light and attempt to keep your finger tips on the side of the puck and not wrap them underneath (as shown in the top picture). Dan’s variation where you go heavy and put the fingers underneath the puck, which will still get you the burn (bottom two pictures)!
Enjoy, and send pictures in of some of our unique training and I will post it up! Thanks to Dan Allison for sending in the photos.
