Fun Upper Body “GPP” Workout

I remember going to the playground, round top park, when I was a kid and spinning around on the tire swing until I nearly passed out.  When I got my balance back, off to the zip line to buzz back and forth.

Unfortunately a lot of that cool stuff is gone and replaced with safer alternatives, but one toy still remains, monkey bars!

All the Synergy readers should know about general physical preparedness by now.   If not:  GPP EXPLAINED.

Medicine ball throwing, push ups, and sled rows are great for upper body GPP, but here’s another fun option.

  1. Chris says:

What size of pipe did you use? This is excellent, who does not like the monkey bars? 35 dollars for pipe. Using a favor from a local welder (A 12 pack) Having fun while you are getting stronger (Effective). Keep up the great work Joe

  2. Haha well said Chris. It was scrap pipe and an exchange with a friend/welder. Pretty close to getting it right!

We have bars that are 1 3/4 and 2 inch (I think, but I’ll double check).
